A United States law maker, Mary Miller has made a statement attributing the killing of Christians to “radical Islam”.

Her post on the official X states :  “Radical Islam is responsible for the mass slaughter of thousands of Christians in Nigeria and around the world, This ideology has no place in America”.

US pressure mounts on Nigeria over Christian persecution, as Miller speaks out. The United States had previously vowed in taking action over the alleged genocide of Christians.

The House Committee on Appropriations made this position known via its official X handle on Wednesday, commenting on a post by Congressman, Riley Moore, who had been advocating for an end to the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, supporting President Trump’s efforts in defending Nigeria Christians.

Moore  revealed he was in Benue State to meet the “Christians in the Internally Displaced Persons Camp” who had suffered gruesome violence.

He wrote: “While in Benue, I met with dozens of Christians who were driven from their homes and subjected to violence and now live in IDP camps, They told harrowing stories that will remain with me for the rest of my life”.

“One man’s family was hacked to death in front of his eyes and his arm was permanently mangled”.

” Another woman was forced to watch as they killed her husband and five children. She and her unborn child, barely escaped. Another woman’s family was murdered in front of her and her baby was ripped from her womb.

“There are more than 600,000 Christians in  IDP camps in Benue State alone.”
